• Andrew Shamis, Esq.

  Managing Partner

  Andrew Shamis is the managing partner at Shamis & Gentile P.A. Mr. Shamis heads the class action division of the firm, where his extensive experience in civil litigation has gained him the reputation of an attorney who can deliver where it matters the most, monetary results for his clients. Mr. Shamis has achieved several multi-million dollar settlements for consumers and plaintiffs throughout the country through his relentlessness and expertise. Mr. Shamis has been certified class counsel by six different federal judges and successfully litigated over 10,000 civil cases. Mr. Shamis is admitted to practice law in both the state of Florida and New York, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Mr. Shamis specializes in Consumer Protection Class Action Litigation, Personal Injury, Personal Injury Protection, Wrongful Death, as well as General Civil Litigation. Mr. Shamis grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and later moved to Alpharetta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Mr. Shamis then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law. Mr. Shamis is proud to call Miami his home and looks forward to representing consumers and injured parties throughout the United States for the rest of his legal career.

  Angelica Gentile is a named partner at Shamis & Gentile P.A. Ms. Gentile heads the catastrophic injury and personal injury protection departments of Shamis & Gentile, P.A. Ms. Gentile is recognized throughout the South Florida legal community as an extremely professional and efficient attorney. A consistent favorite, clients routinely rave about how well Ms. Gentile works to protect their interests and advocate on their behalf. Ms. Gentile is admitted to practice law in both Florida and Texas and has extensive civil litigation experience, involving hundreds of depositions and motions throughout the state of Florida. Ms. Gentile not only prides herself in collecting millions of dollars in benefits owed to clients, but also in forging long lasting, successful relationships with clients. Prior to starting Shamis & Gentile P.A., she began her legal career at a large civil litigation firm located in South Florida. While there she worked on cases from inception through summary judgment (or settlement) and has successfully collected significant amounts in unpaid medical treatment expenses for chiropractors, medical doctors, physical therapists and diagnostic facilities. Ms. Gentile is a former Division I athlete, where she swam for the University of North Texas all four years. She received her Bachelor of Science from University of North Texas, after which she received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

  Robert E. Jurewicz, Vice President of Operations, has a lengthy resume in being a service industry entrepreneur. A seasoned professional, Rob prides himself in his ability to develop and grow companies. Under his leadership, a number of businesses have become some of the most successful and respected in their respective industries, known for high levels of service, professionalism, and innovation. Shamis & Gentile, P.A. is the culmination of that experience, where Mr. Jurewicz has put it all together in creating a state of the art, forward thinking law firm that exceeds all expectations. Upon graduating from the nationally recognized Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, Mr. Jurewicz became a partner in multiple South Florida companies. Working together with his business partners, Mr. Jurewicz has cultivated his interests in marketing, business development, financial management and managing a team from the bottom up. As Vice President of Operations at Shamis & Gentile P.A., Mr. Jurewicz is responsible for leading the marketing team, by creating innovative ways to promote, expand, and improve customer service. Mr. Jurewicz is also responsible for business development and running administrative day-to-day operation, as well as being the de facto “Chief Financial Officer.” Mr. Jurewicz possess the leadership skills, technical prowess, and desire to succeed which coincide exactly with all characteristics that add value to Shamis & Gentile P.A..
