Description
Dr Takita is a Professor and Vice Chair of Education of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Sylvester C Cancer Center, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She obtained her medical degree at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Radiation Oncology Residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St.
Louis. She joined University of Miami/Sylvester C Cancer Center in 1999.
Her clinical and research interests are in the management of breast cancer. Dr Takita is the Co-Leader of the Breast Site Disease Group and the Leader of the Breast Proton Therapy Group at Sylvester C Cancer Center.
