Originally, the company built hand-operated pumps and windmills, which were sold under the brand names of Hoosier, Star and Marina. Not only did Flint & Walling survive the Great Depression, but also answered the call to arms in several ways during the Second World War The Department of Navy awarded the F&W the Navy “E” Award for Excellence. Flint & Walling is the only pump company in the USA to manufacture their own electric motors for jet and centrifugal pumps.
