Matthew Treiser, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and chief of microsurgery and extremity reconstruction at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He specializes in plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery for cancer-related and non-cancer related injuries. He has advanced training and expertise in breast reconstruction and general hand surgery, orthopedic hand surgery and plastic hand surgery. After a mastectomy or lumpectomy for breast cancer, Dr. Treiser performs breast reconstruction surgery to restore form and function. He excels in advanced techniques and complex procedures such as breast resensation surgery, which restores feeling to breasts after a mastectomy.
